대한폐암학회 윤리강령

• 대한폐암학회 회원 (이하 “회원”)은 인간의 존엄과 가치를 존중하며, 의료를 적정하고 공정하게 시행하여 인류 건강의 보호 증진함에 헌신한다.
• 회원은 환자와 서로 신뢰하고 존중하는 관계를 유지하며, 환자의 최선의 이익과 사생활을 보호한다.
• 회원은 계속해서 과학적 지식을 연구, 적용 및 발전시키고, 의학 교육 및 수련에 적극적으로 참여한다.
• 회원은 연구참여자의 권리, 안전, 복지를 보호하며, 연구의 과학성과 윤리성을 유지한다.
• 회원은 의학적으로 인정된 지식과 기술을 기반으로 전문가적 양심에 따라 진료를 하며, 품위와 명예를 유지한다.
• 회원은 의료정보의 객관성과 신뢰성을 확보하여 환자와 사회의 신뢰를 유지하는데 최선을 다한다.
• 회원은 모든 동료 의료인을 존경과 신의로써 대하며, 환자의 안전과 의료의 질 향상을 위해 함께 노력한다.
• 회원은 환자의 인격과 자기결정권을 존중하며, 죽음을 앞둔 환자의 고통을 줄이고, 환자가 품위 있게 임종할 수 있도록 최선을 다한다.
• 회원은 환자의 알 권리를 존중하며, 직무상 알게 된 환자의 비밀과 개인정보를 보호한다.
• 회원은 의료 자원을 공정하고 적절히 사용하여 바람직한 의료환경을 구축하기 위한 활동에 적극 참여한다.

우리는 위 윤리강령을 자유의사에 따라 성실히 이행할 것을 엄숙히 선언한다.

KALC Code of Conduct & Ethics (2022)

• Members are expected to respect human dignity & value, and devote themselves to protecting and promoting human health by administering medical care appropriately and fairly.
• Members are to maintain a relationship of trust and respect with patients and protect the patient's best interests and privacy.
• Members are strongly encouraged to continue to study, apply and advance scientific knowledge, and actively participate in medical education and training.
• Members protect the rights, safety, and welfare of research participants, and adhere to ethical standards.
• Members must conduct diagnosis and treatment according to their professional conscience, based on medically recognized knowledge and skills, while also maintaining dignity and honor.
• Members must do their best to maintain the trust of both their patients and society by securing objectivity and reliability of medical information.
• Members must treat all fellow medical professionals with respect and loyalty, while working together to improve patient(s) safety and quality of care.
• Members must respect every patient's personality and their right to self-determination, as to reduce the patient's pain in the face of death. They must do their best to allow the patient to die with dignity.
• Members must respect the patient's right to know, and protect the patient's confidentiality and personal information learned in the course of their duties.
• Members are strongly encouraged to actively participate in activities, which purpose are to, to establish a desirable medical environment by using medical resources fairly and appropriately.

We, the members of KALC, solemnly declare that we agree with the terms of the above Code of Conduct & Ethics. And We will faithfully follow and implement each ethical principle, in accordance of our own free will.
